Calgary Spring Break Activities – 2015

Spring break is around the corner, and there are plenty of camps/activities to keep the kids boredom free.

Public schools will be out from March 20-March 29 (weekends included). There will be a few days back to school, and then no school again for Easter break April 3-6.
Catholic schools will be out April 2-12 (Easter break included).

Disney On Ice: Princesses & Heroes
Join the adventures of Jasmine, Aladdin, and friends as they overcome challenges and find their happy endings. Tickets range from $15-$65 for children 2 and up, at the Stampede Corral.

Chapters/Indigo: March Break Headquarters
Head to your local Chapters or Indigo bookstore for tons of FREE fun! Lego figure swaps, Klutz arts and crafts, storytime, science, Disney Cinderella, and more!
March 23-27

Spring Sparktacular, at Telus Spark
Celebrate the arrival of Spring with making seed paper, help build the town of Bunnybotville, and more spring themed activities. Be sure to stick around, because Cococo Chocolatiers will be stopping by every day with sweet treats from 1-3pm. And it's all included in your general admission!
April 3 & 4

Vin Gogh's Spring Camp
A four day camp that is jam packed with art, food, and fun. Each day your child will create their own masterpiece, as well as food art – Pizza decorating, anyone? Camp fees are $262.50/child including GST
March 23-26, March 30-April 2, April 7-10

Calgary Zoo Spring Camp
There are camps for tots AND school aged children at the Calgary Zoo. Join the fun for the week and enjoy learning about animals on zoo walks, crafting, games, and stories are all what is in store for your mini-zoologist. Zoo Tots registration fees are $170, and $285 for grades 1-6 (10% discount for Calgary Zoo Engage and Inspire members).

ROAR Play Park at Southcentre Mall
ROAR Play Park is a brand new, animal themed play park at Southcentre Mall. Built in partnership with the Calgary Zoo, this play park features lots of interactive components, including a crawl through tunnel, slide-down and climb‐on creatures, iPad stations, “I Spy” wall murals, interactive educational sliding panels and more. Great for ages 1-11, whatever the weather.

Recreation Fun
Everything from registered programs, swimming and skating, to arts programs and day camps. Discover it all, get active, and have fun.

Calgary Public Library
Have you been to your local library lately? There are so many cool events happening for kids right now! Be sure to check the date and time listing for the branch nearest you to get in on the fun. From building together at LEGO club, to interactive ballet performances just for kids, there is something for everyone. And don't forget to pick up a library card for your child, if you haven't already.
