Dyeing and decorating eggs are an Easter tradition. It’s a great way to get into the festive spirit and, more importantly, it’s a simple and inexpensive activity for the entire family. We’ve put together a list of foolproof tips and techniques that will help you fill your Easter baskets with a colourful collection of decorated eggs.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Mix 1 teaspoon of vinegar and 20 drops of food colouring (You can add more drops of food colouring to intensify the colour) in 1 cup of hot water in a heatproof bowl, cup, or jar.
Repeat this step for each colour that you select.
One at a time, completely submerge each egg into the tints. (Using tongs makes handling the eggs easier and cleaner)
When you’ve finished dip-dying your eggs, let them dry at least 15 minutes
Finish the eggs off with stickers, shrink-wrap or hand-drawn details.
